OnceMore® now available in modal

OnceMore^® is a high-quality dissolving pulp made of blended textile waste and wood from sustainably managed Swedish forests. It is the world’s first large-scale process for recycling blended fabrics. OnceMore^® is a part of Södra, Sweden’s largest forest owners’ association, which has a world leading industry that processes forest raw material into renewable products.

Until today OnceMore^® has been processed into viscose and lyocell products. Thanks to fiber producer Tangshan Sanyou, fibers based on OnceMore^® are now available in modal fibers.

During the years we have been working with Södra, and later OnceMore^®, they have always delivered a product with high quality that seamlessly integrates into our process. This is another step forward of the transition in the fashion industry, says Mr. Zhang Dongbin at Tangshan Sanyou. 

Modal fibers are produced in a modified viscose process yielding stronger and more durable fibers. The fibers exhibit similar qualities’ as traditional viscose, giving breathable and soft fabrics. Also, Modal fabric showcases rapid-drying properties, ensuring a comfortable and versatile fabric.

Tangshan Sanyou and Södra have been working closely together for over a decade.

Since Södra started producing dissolving pulp in 2012, Tangshan Sanyou has been our costumer.
