Changes in countries of origin for wood raw material
Towards the end of 2023, our Mörrum mill was receiving a small volume of softwood as a raw material for its pulp from Latvia. However, most of the wood we use at Mörrum for softwood pulp still originates from Sweden. The hardwood used for Mönsterås’ pulp production throughout 2023 was procured solely from Sweden and Estonia.
Värö’s raw material supply for its softwood pulp last year originated from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the UK.
For all three mills, the main origin of our wood raw material, for both softwood and hardwood pulps, will continue to be Sweden in the future. Mönsterås and Mörrum may also source small volumes from the Baltic States of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. Värö’s pulp production may include some wood raw material from Norway, Denmark and the UK.
Although these changes are minor, we are committed to offering you the most comprehensive data when it comes to the origin of our wood. All the detail on the origin of wood raw material for all our pulps is available via MyPulp+.
