Our technical data sheets are being updated and will be available to view online from January on product specifications. For more detailed specifications by grade, mill and year for shipments, log into MyPulp+ and visit Quality Data.

Minor changes to sustainability data

As well as updated technical sheets, we have also made some minor changes to sustainability data. All the information is accessible via the Environmental Data tab within the public area of My Pulp+. For more detailed specifications by grade, mill and year for shipments, log into Quality Data.

Annica Larsson Ahlstedt, Head of Product Quality, explains that “certifications, environmental data and carbon footprint, among others, are values based on 2022 data. This is standard practice when reporting on sustainability. As soon as we have collated the 2023 results, we will provide an update, most likely in March.”

Adjustment of paper pulp brightness

From January, our highest brightness pulps will be half a percentage point lower at 89%.

“This is a matter of sustainability and resource efficiency,” explains Annica Larsson Ahlstedt, Head of Product Quality. “Our previous highest level of brightness was not needed for the vast majority of applications and this adjustment brings us more in line with the market standard. Using more chemicals than we needed was not only costly but more importantly a waste of resources and not the right direction if we want to make the most sustainable pulp possible. The change is not visible to the naked eye but makes a difference to our chemical consumption.

Updated sustainability data on MyPulp+

As well as updated technical sheets, there is a wide range of sustainability data on our products online. All the information is accessible via the Environmental Data tab within the public area of My Pulp+.

Annica Larsson Ahlstedt explains that “environmental data and carbon footprint, among others, are values based on 2022 data. This is standard practice when reporting on sustainability, on a yearly basis. As soon as we have collated the 2023 results, we will provide an update, most likely in February.”
