FiberSafe® rolled out to Mörrum
We’ve reached another milestone for our FiberSafe® paper straps which offer customers a sustainable alternative to traditional wires: The first delivery of pulp from Mörrum wrapped with FiberSafe® will soon be on its way to a Swedish customer.
FiberSafe® is a sustainable alternative to traditional steel wires on bales. They save the time usually spent dewiring since the strap can simply be pulped with the rest of the bale. And any risk of an accident which can occur when removing wire straps is also eliminated.
“This is great news,” explains Sales Director Maria Staxhammar. “Mönsterås has been making the straps since early 2019 and we have had nothing but positive feedback. We are still in the trial phase at Mörrum, but this innovation has so much potential that we are delighted to be expanding production to a second mill. We’re looking forward to hearing the feedback from this latest trial,” says Staxhammar. “This is a fantastic concept we are proud of.”
