COVID-19: Södra's response
We would like to reassure our customers that we are doing our utmost to keep ourselves and everyone else healthy, and to secure our deliveries in these uncertain times.
We are complying fully with official regulations and recommendations, in some cases taking measures above the minimum required. To help protect our staff and yours, we have restricted our travel and implemented strict policies that clearly regulate visits to our facilities. Our purchasing department has written to all our suppliers to gauge any possible action or disruption on their part.
While we are monitoring corona’s impact across the globe, we are paying particular attention to Italy where a nation-wide lockdown has the potential to disrupt supply chains. We are using vessels and combi trains and we are watching flows extremely closely. The port authorities have guaranteed that we will have extra capacity at the terminal should we need it. Consequently, in the short term, we are increasing our safety stocks at Italian terminals.
As the situation is changing every day, we will continue to monitor developments at local and global level and we will keep you informed of any further developments from our side.
