Södra’s EU Ecolabel approval renewed

To ensure that only the most sustainable suppliers are approved for EU Ecolabel-certified paper producers, the tough criteria for the label are regularly updated. We’re delighted to announce that our approval has once again been renewed and that we meet the latest requirements. The criteria for supplying pulp to graphic papers and tissue papers with the EU Ecolabel were published in January and we are listed on the EU Ecolabel’s new list of assessed pulps. 

Eva Thuresson, Södra’s Sustainability Information Manager explains that this new listing will make life easier for customers: “For our customers the approval process is now more transparent and simple. They can use our data directly to do their own calculations when applying for the label and their competent bodies can directly see that the Södra pulps are approved. . All the data needed for our customers’ calculations is  available via Pulp+ at www.sodra.com/environmental-data (choose report type EU Ecolabel) or via EU Ecolabel's list of assessed pulps: https://eupulps.net/. We’re also approved for the Nordic Swan.”
