Mönsterås maintenance rated first class

Södra Cell Mönsterås is the first operation in Sweden to be awarded “World-class maintenance” status by the auditor Trivalo.

The mill is the first in Sweden to achieve more than 750 points in the audit. Trivalo congratulated Södra Cell Mönsterås for its ‘competent and long-term efforts’ and maintenance operations which have been established ‘at a level of world-class excellence’.

“There are always areas for improvement, but we are often excessively self-critical in our eagerness to become better and therefore sometimes miss how good we are,” said Thomas Håkansson, Head of Maintenance at Södra Cell Mönsterås. “We have worked purposefully since 2003 to achieve properly-functioning and efficient maintenance that creates added value through a high level of availability and consistent quality.

“We have now received confirmation that we have achieved our goal, and no one has previously achieved this. We received 759 points and can humbly point out that the second best result was 717 points, which was also achieved by us in our audit from 2015. Points are only points, but they show we do our job well. I’m extremely proud of what the maintenance organization has achieved.  For customers this is further assurance that we take efficiency and maximum availability very seriously.”
