Global Pulp News Nominated for best B2B campaign of the year

Nominated for best B2B campaign of the year

Södra’s marketing concept “The Södra Experience” was launched in 2017 with the aim of illustrating how Södra shows the way, whatever the customer’s challenge may be. We’re delighted to say that the concept has now been nominated under the Best B2B Campaign category in the annual 100-wattaren communication competition.

100-wattaren* is a national competition in Sweden that recognises highly  creative communication campaigns. The goal of the communication must be well-defined and the results accurately measured in terms of the desired change in the target group. The jury assesses how well the campaign was planned.

“We are extremely pleased and proud of the nomination. In an intensely competitive market, we have to be bold, to challenge and showcase what makes us unique,” said Marcus Hellberg, Marketing Director at Södra Cell.

The category for which “The Södra Experience” has been nominated focuses on B2B communication. Other companies nominated include Telia, Adobe, Atlas Copco, Swedbank and others.

More than half a million views

The campaign, which includes the “Eight meters to impact” and “Kick it, throw it, rip it” films, has been viewed more than half a million times worldwide.

“As competition intensifies, ever-increasing demands are being set for sales and communication. Therefore, we have been forced to think outside the box and work smartly to engage our target group. This included our choice of channels. We have focused on digital newsletters, IP driven marketing and social media for ‘The Södra Experience,’ which has had a major impact,” said Linda Ottosson, Communication Manager at Södra Cell.

*What is 100-wattaren?

The 100-wattaren is one of Sweden’s most renowned advertising competitions. Sweden’s best advertisers and bureaus compete and the level of competition is fierce. The competition rewards results and creativity. The 100-wattaren has existed since 1990 and the first competition was arranged by Sveriges Reklamförbund and the business daily Dagens Industri. In 1993, the Association of Swedish Advertisers took up the baton and has been part of the competition ever since.

The 100-wattaren awards three prizes in each category, namely a 100-wattare (“Gold”), a 75-wattare (“Silver”) and a 50-wattare (“Bronze”). The winners for 2017 will be presented at the 100-wattaren’s awards ceremony on 14 November at 5.00 p.m. (CET) at Stockholm City Hall.
