We are delighted to announce that Pulp+ Fibre education will take place this June, in our mill in Värö, Sweden, from 14th to 15th.
Värö is one of our three pulp mills. It sits on the Värö peninsula, some 60 kilometres south of Gothenburg. In many ways, Värö has always been a forerunner in terms of sustainability, including switching production to chlorine-free pulp and becoming fossil-free in day-to-day operations. Värö is also home to Södra Innovation, our R&D hub.
Over two days of seminars and discussions, we will have the chance to explain what we do and how to make the most of our products in your mills to maximise their value. It’s a chance to talk, listen, learn and socialise.
We will spend some time on seminars and in discussions, but we’ll also be out in the field – or rather the forest, visiting a Södra forest estate to see the start of the fibre’s journey, and then to Södra Cell Värö where fibre becomes pulp. Hopefully you will learn about the entire journey of our fibre from seedling to your mill gate.
Our aim is that you will leave us with an enhanced understanding of what we do and why, but importantly, how we can work together in the future to maximise the value of your business and work together towards new sustainable solutions for the future.

Travel information
The preferred and closest airport to Varberg is Landvetter - Gothenburg, Sweden. One alternative to Landvetter could be Copenhagen Airport, Denmark. If you choose to travel via Copenhagen Airport, direct trains from the airport depart to Varberg every hour. For information about booking and tickets visit www.sj.se.
Dress code
The weather in Sweden can be unpredictable. Please bring comfortable clothes for the forest visit and mill tour, and casual clothes for dinner. Södra will provide rubber boots for the forest excursion.
