Summer wrap-up 2025

Summer is upon us, and in Sweden, the long-awaited summer holiday is just around the corner. We wanted to take the opportunity to look back on the year so far and share what’s on the horizon when we return from our holidays.
Copenhagen Fashion Week AW25, January 2025
We kicked of the year with Copenhagen Fashion Week, joining as a sponsor for the first time. During the week, we hosted an exclusive, pre-launch dinner to celebrate our collaboration with Selected, the fourth brand under the BESTSELLER umbrella we have worked with. During the event, we showcased the new collection, made from OnceMore® materials, which became available in stores in the early spring.
"This collection truly showcases the versatility of viscose material. Often, viscose is unfairly perceived as suitable only for summer blouses. However, SELECTED has done a fantastic job in demonstrating the diverse textures and finishes that can be achieved with viscose, effectively revitalizing its reputation," says Tina Lemke, Brand & Customer Experience Manager.
Textile Policy Paper, January 2025
At the beginning of the year, we published our position paper on textile policy, outlining the key changes we believe are necessary to drive progress in the sector. The paper presents our recommendations in the form of political proposals and instruments, focusing on what should be done to support a more sustainable and forward-looking textile industry.
This position paper is intended as a tool for guiding policy and regulatory revision. If you're interested, you can read more here!
Premiére Vision, February 2025
In February, we had our debut at Premiére Vision - trend‑setting, sustainability-focused, and highly curated sourcing event for professionals engaged in the luxury and innovation-driven end of the fashion material supply chain. Stationed in the Smart Creation section of the fair, we showcased fantastic fabrics and clothing produced by our partners.
“We truly felt that Première Vision was the perfect place for us to be. We met many brands, as well as textile manufacturers, fiber producers, and other key industry figures. We are looking forward to next time!” says Madeleine Bernhard, Business Developer at OnceMore®.
We are planning to exhibit at Premiére Vision again in September. Reach out if you want to book a meeting or just get a brief introduction.
New styles from VILA and Lindex
Our brand partner VILA has released a new collection featuring OnceMore®. The range includes light spring/summer blouses and dresses, as well as beautifully tailored knitted dresses - all made with OnceMore® fibers.
Another brand partner, Lindex, has created a fantastic linen blend using OnceMore®: a 30% linen and 70% OnceMore® mix. The collection includes shirts, shorts, trousers, dresses, skirts, and blazers - versatile pieces that combine comfort with a more sustainable material choice.
“I think this is a nice combination between two natural fibers that retains the best properties out of both fibers. OnceMore® adds a soft and drapey effect to the fabric at the same time as it keeps the rough and casual linen look. It has a nice, soft hand feel and you also get less crinkles by adding OnceMore® to linen fabric. The linen fiber becomes less stiff and harsh when adding OnceMore®. It is a quality that is airy and very comfortable to wear”, Linda Eliasson, designer for the women’s department at Lindex.
Value chain visit, May 2025
We hosted another visit to showcase our production in Sweden. Bringing together people across different parts of the value chain, we started the tour in the forest alongside adviser Andreas. He talked about how Södra and our members manage their forests. After one (or two) cinnamon buns and some coffee, we headed off to the mill in Mörrum where the OnceMore production is based.
“We find this to be a successful concept that aligns well with our belief that we need to work more together and talk to more actors in the value chain than just the ones that are next in line. The conversations we have during these visits are so important for us in our learning process of getting a new material into an exciting value chain,” said Madeleine Bernhard, Business Development Manager, OnceMore®.
Challenge the Fabric, May 2025
At the Challenge the Fabric 2025 Conference in Milan, OnceMore® team member Madeleine Bernhard participated in panel discussion titled, “The Journey from Pulp to Garment”, alongside partners from across the textile value chain.
The panel brought together key players representing nearly every step of the supply chain: OnceMore® as the raw material producer, Lenzing Group as the fiber producer, New Focus Textiles as the textile manufacturer, and BESTSELLER as the brand. Together, they all shared insights on what it takes to integrate a new material into an already established value chain.
One of the reflections Madeleine shared during the discussion was:
“We can’t wait for consumers to start demanding new materials in their clothing - we need to lead the way. Together with manufacturers and brands, OnceMore® is committed to driving that change. Through our collaborations with fiber producers, manufacturers, and brands, we’ve gained valuable insights into the journey from dissolving pulp to finished garment. One thing is clear: the willingness to change is already there.”
The Mini Twist – FEBEN x OnceMore®, May 2025
As part of our continued collaboration with designer FEBEN, we launched the Mini Twist, made from 100% OnceMore® material.
The Mini Twist expands in water into a classic twist, a signature piece of FEBEN. Our collaboration started in 2024 when FEBEN showcased four OnceMore® pieces at LFW in her SS25 collection. Through this partnership, we aim to inspire new ways of using viscose and recycled materials. The Mini Twist is now available for purchase through FEBEN’s website and our fantastic collaboration was featured in WWD in May, you can read the article here.
Future Fabrics Expo 2025, June 2025
For this year’s Future Fabrics Expo in London, our colleague Tina Lemke participated in the panel discussion “Traceability Tools, Authenticity, and How to Build Trust”, moderated by Tiffanie Darke.
With the withdrawal of the Green Claims Directive, the panellists agreed that traceability is more important than ever, as trust depends on it. Obtaining reliable data on the products we produce is essential, and that begins with a clear understanding of each product’s origin, the raw materials used, and its journey through the entire value chain.
Together with our brand partner Louise Lund from BESTSELLER / Selected, we shared insights into our collaboration and how we each work across the value chain - from raw material production to brand level - to ensure transparency and visibility in the products we produce.
Circular Textile Foundation Workshop, June 2025
We took part in a workshop hosted by Circular Textiles Foundation in London, where our team member Madeleine Bernhard joined a panel discussion alongside other recyclers that was moderated by Kirsty McGregor, Executive European Editor at Vogue Business.
The panel explored the current state of textile recycling, supply chain challenges, and the impact of upcoming legislation. Together with our fellow recyclers, we united around a shared statement: Designing for recyclability gives us the feedstock of tomorrow.
The participating brands also shared their thoughts on design for recyclability - and the two most prominent words in the resulting word cloud were: Positive and Excited.
Looking ahead to A/W 2025!
We are looking forward to sharing some exciting news about upcoming collaborations – both with new brands and designers.
OnceMore.com is also getting a fresh new look, and we have some product updates coming that we can’t wait to reveal.
Until then, we wish you all a wonderful summer! A heartfelt thank you to all our OnceMore® supporters, customers, and partners – thank you for being part of the journey!
Glad sommar!
