Hard work pays off: Positive results at Mörrum
Over the past year, Mörrum has been working hard to improve the quality of its effluent and we’re delighted to report a significant improvement in water quality from the mill. Now that values for 2020 have been calculated, we are already seeing improved COD and nitrogen values.
“As well as investing in effluent technology we have also been optimizing the water treatment plant and we are now well below the upper limit of BAT regulations as a result,” says Eva Thuresson, Sustainability Information Manager. “We have almost finished the project now and expect that next year’s results will be even better. We are now looking at the possibilities to improve air emissions even further too.”
