Customer notice: Non-conforming wood
One of the commitments we make when we sign up to certification systems is to transparency. We take great care to ensure that all our wood raw material conforms at the very least to the relevant wood certification standards. These are subject to strict independent due diligence to minimise the risk of non-conformity. However, very occasionally, small volumes of non-confirming wood get through the rigorous checks.

We recently discovered that we had sourced two small quantities of wood from harvesting in the southern part of Sweden which have been found to be non-conforming. This wood was processed in good faith and mixed with our own certified fibre at the time. It is therefore likely that some customers will have received a small amount of pulp from Mörrum at the beginning of 2023 and Monsterås at the end of 2024 which may have contained non-conforming wood. We have therefore adjusted accordingly our own records which track the volume of certified wood/pulp in our production and can guarantee that all volumes delivered in the relevant time period were covered by our stocks of certified fiber.
We are working with the supplier in question to minimize the risk of a recurrence and we remain committed to sourcing wood from the most sustainably managed forests.
