Södra’s climate work – from work towards Net Zero to Climate-adapted forests.
Forest and forest industry are a crucial enabler for the green transition. Södra aims to be a driving force in the transition to a climate-neutral society. We have set science-based climate targets aligned with the 1.5° C goal, validated by the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative). By 2030, the goal is that our emissions will be halved compared to 2020, and we are committed to Net Zero. To achieve this, we are implementing climate action plans across the organisation, electrifying transport, and collaborating with customers to decrease emissions in the value chain. We also work together with members and forest owners to help adapt their forests to climate change.
