Head of Business Development to strengthen customer offering
Benjamin Brück has been named Head of Business Development from 1 August, a newly-created position which will see him responsible for developing the way Södra Cell works both internally and externally, above all to optimise our customer service but also to optimise internal efficiency and robustness as an organization. The role will involve liaising across departments on everything from logistics to communications.
His current position as Head of Sales Paper Pulp Global will be filled by Jens Hallendorff who returns to Södra for the second time. He has a long career in the pulp and paper industry with previous positions at Stora Enso, Billerud Korsnäs and Rottneros as well as Södra. An engineer from Chalmers University of Technology, Jens has worked both in technical and commercial roles. Based at the head office in Växjö but with home in Mangskog, Värmland, he will divide his time between the two.
Jonas Larsson will move from Munich to Växjö this coming summer and as from 1 July he will be based in Växjö. He will continue as Manager Customer Supply Centre and Managing Director for Södra Cell GmbH but will add the role of Senior Advisor Forestry to his list of duties. The aim is to create stronger bonds and awareness of each other between customers and Södra’s members’ forests, as well as to optimise internal competence regarding forestry within Södra Cell’s organization.
“The new position of Head of Business Development reflects our desire to optimise all aspects of our business, but primarily to make sure our customer offering and experience are the best that they can be, in every respect. Benjamin was the natural choice for the job,” comments Henrik Wettergren, Vice President Södra Cell International. "When it comes to business development, he’s the man."
“As for Jens, this is the second time I have personally recruited him, so I am delighted that he is returning to Södra to lead the Sales team in these challenging times.
“The additional, new role for Jonas as Senior Forestry Advisor reflects both his personal expertise in and love of the forest and our desire to add value to all our stakeholders by forming closer bonds within the value chain. One of the ways we are seeking to add value for customers is through sustainability communication and a sharing of what we do and why. It all starts with the forest and our members so we think that strengthening communication between them can only be a positive thing for all.”
