Many of our forest estates have been passed down through the same family for generations. Our members see themselves as custodians of a precious asset for the future, protecting flora and fauna, carefully matching fibre requirements to end products and using the latest in digital technology to balance sustainability with economics. That’s why we plant three new trees for every tree we harvest. It’s why the volume of our standing forest has doubled over the last century. Make the most of your paper machine by using pulp with great reinforcement potential. We have numerous options for you, including the market leader when it comes to reinforcement, Södra green T. If printability is a key parameter, we recommend a pulp with lower coarseness and shorter fibres. You’ll find these in our Södra black range.

We produce two products for two different textile fibres. Whether you make viscose or Lyocell, we have the pulp for you. High-alpha pulps with great reactivity result in a cleaner process and improve overall yield, giving you more fibres from your pulp. We use birch for our textile pulps which has longer fibres than eucalyptus, making alkali pressing more effective and actually reducing softwood consumption. And it goes without saying that our textile pulps, like our paper pulps, are sourced from the sustainably-managed forests owned by our members in southern Sweden.
