Tryggve – making solitary work safer

What is the purpose of the app?

Tryggve has been developed for anyone who works alone – in the forest, in production, or on the roads. It ensures you can quickly get help if something happens and every minute counts.

How does the app increase my safety?

You start a work timer before beginning a risky task. If the timer runs out without you turning it off, an alarm is sent with your location to your chosen emergency contacts.

Am I being monitored in real time?

The app checks your location data in real time so it can determine your last known position if something happens. However, your location is only shared if an alarm is triggered, and it disappears from your emergency contact if you cancel the alarm.

Who can benefit from the app?

Employees, forest owners, and contractors who work alone or move between locations. In the next phase, the "Safe Arrival Home" feature will be launched, which is particularly useful for travel.

How do I download Tryggve?

The app is available on Google Play and the App Store. The employee version currently requires an activation code.

Do I have to allow notifications and location services to use the app?

Yes, to make use of Tryggve and for the app to function as intended, you need to allow the app to use location services and send notifications. Notifications are required for you to receive reminders and for alarms to be sent, even in silent mode. Location services are needed for your position to be sent in case of an alarm.

What is a work timer?

It is a timer you start before a work task. If it counts down to zero without you stopping it, an alarm is sent to your emergency contacts with both your location and your phone number.

Can I extend the timer?

Yes, you can extend an active timer if the work takes longer than expected.

Will I get reminders when the timer is about to run out?

Yes, you will receive reminders beforehand so you have the opportunity to switch it off before the alarm is sent to your emergency contacts.

How many emergency contacts do I need?

At least one is mandatory, but the app recommends adding three for increased security.

What does it mean to be an emergency contact?

An emergency contact is a person who can receive alarms and help you if needed. The contact must accept your request before they can receive alarms.

What happens if an alarm is triggered?

When the timer reaches zero, an alarm is activated and sent to your emergency contacts, along with your location and contact details. You can also cancel an alarm if everything is alright.

What is "Safe Arrival Home"?

A feature where you specify when you expect to be home after a trip or workday. If you do not switch off the timer in time, an alarm is sent to your emergency contacts with your location.

What happens if my mobile battery runs out when a timer is active?

If your phone dies while the timer is running, an alarm will be sent to your emergency contacts when the time is up, with your last saved location. Therefore, always make sure to have a fully charged phone when heading out to work alone, or bring a powerbank with you.

Does the app share my location all the time?

No. Your location is only shared when an alarm is triggered, never otherwise. If an alarm has been sent and you cancel it, your latest location will also disappear from the emergency contact.

How are my personal details handled?

By using the app, you accept its terms and that personal data is processed according to GDPR. The data is stored on servers within the EU.

Tracking

All location data and tracking information in Tryggve remains within Södra and is not shared with any third party. The only exception is your last known position, which is shared with your selected emergency contacts if an alarm is triggered. Location data is used solely to show where you are when an alarm is activated.

If you are only registered as an emergency contact, or if no alarm is active, you are not tracked.

Tryggve records your location only while an alarm is active. This ensures that emergency contacts can access your last known position if coverage is lost or if your phone stops working. Once you stop the timer, all location data is deleted from the server.
