1. General information
Tryggve (“Tryggve”) is a safety app developed by Södra Skogsägarna ekonomisk förening (“Södra”, “we”, “us” or “our”) to increase safety when working alone in the forest and other environments where you work by yourself.
Tryggve works as a timer-based alarm solution. You set a timer before starting work, and if you do not check in on time, an alarm with your location is automatically sent to your preselected emergency contacts. Tryggve facilitates the sharing of location and status to enable quick assistance when needed.
Important to understand: Tryggve is a complement
Tryggve is a supplementary safety tool and does NOT replace:
- Standard safety routines and risk assessments
- Occupational health and safety training
- Contacting emergency services (112) in acute emergency situations
2. Scope and applicability of the terms
These terms apply when you download, install, and use Tryggve. The first time you open Tryggve, you must read and accept these terms. You cannot use Tryggve without accepting the terms. By accepting these terms, you confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy (section 8 below).
You are responsible for complying with the rules and instructions applicable to Tryggve, regularly reviewing updates and notices published in Tryggve or at www.sodra.com/tryggve, and keeping Tryggve updated in order to access the latest safety features and improvements.
You may stop using Tryggve at any time and remove it from your device.
3. Age and eligibility
If you are under the age of 13, you may not use Tryggve without the consent of a legal guardian.
If you are between 13 and 18 years old, we recommend that you inform a legal guardian that you are using Tryggve, especially since it involves sharing your location data with emergency contacts.
4. Limitation of liability
Södra is only liable for damage caused by Södra through intent or negligence to the extent required by mandatory law. Otherwise, all liability is excluded to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law.

Nor is Södra liable for damage resulting from improper use of Tryggve by the user or the user’s emergency contacts, alarms not being received or responded to, or information failing to reach the intended recipient.
Södra is also not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, data loss, business interruption, lost business opportunities, or other financial or non-financial losses, to the extent permitted by law. Södra does not guarantee the content, functionality, or availability of external websites, services, or third-party systems accessed via Tryggve, nor that Tryggve functions or is available outside Sweden.

Your emergency contacts become independent data controllers for the location information they receive, and Södra has no control over how they use it. Therefore, only choose people you trust. - Within Södra:
Your data is only accessible to employees who need it to operate Tryggve, provide support, ensure safety, or comply with legal requirements. All employees are bound by confidentiality obligations. - With subcontractors:
We use subcontractors for cloud services, push notifications, analytics, and support. All subcontractors are bound by GDPR-compliant agreements and may only process your data in accordance with our instructions. All processing takes place within the EU/EEA. - Due to legal obligations:
We may disclose your data if required by law or by an authority, or if necessary to protect safety and legal rights.

You have several rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you wish to exercise your rights or have any questions, you may contact us. We are responsible for ensuring that the personal data we process is accurate. If you believe that any information about you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to request that it be corrected.
Right to object:
When we process personal data based on our legitimate interests, you have the right to object to such processing at any time. If we cannot demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds to continue processing the data, we must cease the processing.

By requesting a restriction, you may, at least for a certain period, prevent us from using the data for purposes other than, for example, the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims. You may also prevent us from deleting the data, for example if you need it to pursue a claim for damages.
Right to erasure:
In certain cases, you may have your personal data erased. However, when your personal data is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, required to comply with a legal obligation, or needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, we are unable to delete the data.
