We focus using of the entire tree. Södra’s sustainability efforts include the production of bioproducts and energy from industrial side streams, helping to reduce waste and improve resource efficiency.

Our sales are primarily directed towards businesses and retailers, but we also supply electricity and heating to private individuals.

We are one of Sweden’s largest forest owner associations and an international forest industry group, owned and governed by nearly 52,000 members in southern Sweden. As members, forest owners have direct influence over the cooperative’s decisions and operations, promoting democratic values and collaboration. The cooperative is represented by around 200 delegates who vote at the annual general meeting.

In addition to refining members’ raw materials, Södra actively engages in policy work across areas such as energy, sustainability, forestry, infrastructure and transport. We aim to offer a first-class membership experience, with equal and value-creating benefits for all.
