About the project
A wooden hotel building with maximum focus on sustainability, featuring a wooden frame, maintenance-free facade, and green (sedum) roof.
Södra supplied materials for both the cross-laminated timber (CLT) and glulam frame, as well as providing tinted and fire-impregnated spruce cladding for the facade.
Eriksberg is a nature reserve and wildlife park in Blekinge in southern Sweden, with a mission rooted in promoting and preserving wildlife, natural habitats and biodiversity. As a guest, you are invited to embark on a journey in which you experience animals and birds in their natural environment, right outside your hotel room. This is how Eriksberg welcomes visitors to its new hotel.
The hotel is a standalone three-storey timber building, where all 23 rooms overlook the reserve. Natural elements have been incorporated throughout, with wood as the unifying material. The architect behind the building is LBE Arkitekt and the hotel was completed in 2024.

Our offer
A wise choice from family forestry
We offer processed elements in cross-laminated timber (CLT) for structural construction. Building with CLT results in lower climate impact compared to fossil-based construction materials, as it consists of a renewable resource and stores carbon dioxide.
