OnceMore® from Södra has been named a finalist for Årets Cirkulära Företag 2026 (Circular Business of the Year 2026). The award is presented at Återvinningsgalan, an event for Sweden’s recycling industry.
The category recognises companies that have presented an initiative or made an investment to increase recycling or develop more circular flows of materials and resources. This can include innovations, business models and technologies that create new ways to make use of materials.
How far can one new idea take you?
OnceMore® from Södra has been named a finalist for Årets Cirkulära Företag 2026 (Circular Business of the Year 2026). The award is presented at Återvinningsgalan, an event for Sweden’s recycling industry.
For us, the nomination is also a reminder of how far one new idea can take you.
With OnceMore®, Södra did something new: we brought textile waste into the process as a raw material alongside wood and stepped into the textile value chain.
What started with an idea became an industrial process, and a new way for Södra to connect the forest with the textile industry.
Today, with OnceMore®, we combine textile waste with wood from responsibly managed forests to produce dissolving pulp that can be used as raw material for new textile fibres.
Creating new material flows takes collaboration across the textile value chain. We’re proud to see OnceMore® and the work behind it recognised through the finalist nomination.

Återvinningsgalan is organised by Recycling in collaboration with Avfall Sverige and Återvinningsindustrierna. Årets Cirkulära Företag is one of five award categories in 2026. The winners will be announced at Berns in Stockholm on 2 December.
