Group strategy 2025+: profitable and sustainable growth in an ever-changing world
The direction of Södra’s Group strategy has now been determined. Södra’s overarching objective is to be an even more sustainable, profitable, innovative and resource-efficient growth company. The strategy mainly applies for the period up to 2025, but the aim is that it will continue to apply until 2030.
We will continue to develop our existing products and increase our customer and market focus, but also intensify our focus on processing, innovation and resource-efficiency, and on maximising value from digitisation.
Södra’s overarching objective is to be an even more sustainable, profitable, innovative and resource-efficient growth company. Our success is based on long-term profitability and a strong financial position, which enable the development of our business and the distribution of profits to our owners.
All future growth should be profitable and sustainable with climate-smart solutions along the entire value chain – from forest to customer.
“Södra is in the midst of an exciting phase with its sights set on the future. We have continued investments and expansion of our core business, market pulp and sawn timber ahead of us, but also processing of products and residual streams,” said Peter Karlsson, Acting President and CEO.
The key components of the Group strategy are:
- Profitable growth
- Stability and flexibility
- Sustainability and resource-efficiency
- Customer and market focus
- Maximised benefits from digitisation
