New countries of origin for softwood raw material: Poland and Germany
Our pulp, both softwood and hardwood, is and will continue to be sourced primarily from the wood from our members’ forests in Sweden. But we occasionally need to supplement our sources depending on market conditions so that we can guarantee a stable supply of raw material to our production sites.
As a result, we have sourced some wood from Poland for the softwood pulp produced at our Mönsterås mill, in addition to some volumes from the Baltic states of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. Hardwood pulp at Mönsterås continues to use only raw material from Sweden and the Baltic states.
We have also recently sourced wood from Germany for Mörrum’s softwood pulp, in addition to Sweden and the Baltic states. For hardwood pulp, Mörrum has only received wood raw material from Sweden and the Baltic states.
There has been no change to the origin of the wood at Värö which uses raw material sourced from Sweden, Norway, the UK and Denmark, as before.
