Södra donates SEK 1 million and matches employee donations to Ukraine
Södra will donate SEK 1 million to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) for its efforts to protect people fleeing the war in Ukraine. Södra will also match all donations from employees until the end of March up to a total amount of SEK 3 million.
"The war in Ukraine is a humanitarian tragedy that is affecting millions of people. Södra wants to offer assistance to the people of Ukraine in this difficult time. We are therefore donating SEK 1 million to UNHCR for its humanitarian aid and will match all employee donations up to a total amount of SEK 3 million", said Södra’s President Lotta Lyrå.
Södra has no operations or production in Russia or Belarus. Previous marginal flows to and from the countries have been decided to terminate. This decision will have no significant impact on Södra operations. Södra is monitoring events in the area carefully to manage any impact from the situation.
