Södra strengthens its work within public affairs
Marcus Svensson has been appointed Head of Public Affairs at Södra. He will organise, coordinate and manage Södra’s work within public affairs going forward.
“Our industrial operations and terms for forest ownership are largely dependent on external decisions taken by the authorities and politicians. During the last few years, we have seen issues concerning sustainability, fossil-fuel independence and a circular economy as well as ownership, use and forest products rise in importance on the agenda at national as well as EU level. This is a development we are now addressing by strengthening our existing work within public affairs,” said Peter Karlsson, Interim President and CEO at Södra.
Marcus Svensson is currently Head of Press Södra and will begin his new role on 1 October. Recruitment of a new Head of Press will be begin shortly.
