What does it mean that Södra is a cooperative? | |
We are one of Sweden’s largest forest owner associations and an international forest industry group, owned and governed by nearly 52,000 members in southern Sweden. As members, forest owners have direct influence over the cooperative’s decisions and operations, promoting democratic values and collaboration. The cooperative is represented by around 200 delegates who vote at the annual general meeting. In addition to refining members’ raw materials, Södra actively engages in policy work across areas such as energy, sustainability, forestry, infrastructure and transport.
