Why OnceMore®?
The collaboration with OnceMore enables us to work for an increased degree of recycled materials in our garments without compromising on quality. Working with Swedish raw materials from Södra is a fantastic opportunity for us. The high quality of the OnceMore material, together with Södra's natural connection to our surroundings, not only gives us a strong foundation for our projects, but also a pride in supporting the domestic industry and economy.
How has the collaboration between OnceMore® and Lindex been so far?
Great! Among our assortment this year, where viscose is the main material, over a million garments are made by OnceMore. And we plan to gradually increase that share over the next few years. We truly feel that we through this collaboration, can make a real difference and take steps in the direction of a more sustainable and circular future.
You have some styles based on 100% OnceMore® and some blends with a lower prercent OnceMore®, what are your thoughts about that?
We started off with a few fabrics made in 100% OnceMore and have gradually developed new fabrics. For us, it is important to inspire our customers. Creating inspiring collections requires variety; different textures create different feelings of the fabrics. In some cases, when you want a structure in a viscose fabric, it is necessary to insert some other material. Viscose mixed with other materials can create interesting textures. We also mix viscose with other materials so that the material retains its character after use and can be worn for a long time. For us, good quality is important.
Have you gotten any feedback from your costumers regarding the OnceMore® materials?
Our customers love the characteristics of OnceMore and viscose. The material is soft, comfortable, and flexible. Since high quality is an important parameter for our customers, the collaboration with Södra and OnceMore has been particularly interesting for us. OnceMore lives up to the requirements we have for materials, which is crucial for us in choosing a partner.
What are your thoughts for the future collaboration together with Södra and OnceMore®?
It is with great enthusiasm that we look forward to a continued collaboration with Södra and OnceMore. Shifting the focus towards the use of more recycled materials is an important goal for our organization. Therefore, it is particularly exciting to explore the possibilities of working together with player shares our visions and values. We look forward to exploring different avenues of collaboration and developing projects that not only live up to our shared sustainability goals, but also inspire others to follow our example.
Hundreds of OnceMore® based garments is now available in the European fashion brand Lindex stores around the world. Today, only a fraction of all textiles produced are recycled. OnceMore® is the world’s first large-scale process for recycling blended fabrics.
The process combines post-consumer textile waste with Södra’s responsible managed forests to produce high-quality textile pulp. This way OnceMore® is closing the loop and enable a circular fashion industry throughout the value chain.
In 2022 the major cooperation with Lindex and the plan to produce one million garments made from this game changing material was announced. The result from this groundbreaking collaboration between OnceMore® from Södra and the global fashion company Lindex is now available in Lindex stores and on lindex.com. With this we are now stepping into a new era of doing fashion. What may sound like rocket science really is a collaboration between great minds and great companies, with common aim on a brighter future. This is an important step into the future of fashion.
