Sponsorship

Our sponsorship collaborations mainly take place at the local and regional levels where Södra operates. We also have central engagements that are nationwide and sometimes international. These partnerships are usually larger in scale and are selected with care.

Sponsorship bringing Södra closer to the community

At Södra, we see sponsorship as a way to deepen our role as a responsible and engaged social actor across diverse communities. Through our sponsorships, we aim to:

  • Strengthen Södra’s presence and commitment as a trusted social partner within broad societal groups.
  • Support the marketing of Södra’s services, products, and employer brand.
  • Create added value for the group and increase benefits for Södra’s owners and members.
  • Provide opportunities for meaningful activities and meetings where we can connect with key stakeholders.
  • Enhance Södra’s local presence wherever we operate.

What We Sponsor

All sponsorships align with Södra’s core values of creating lasting value and building strong, long-term relationships. We approach every partnership with a forward-thinking mindset, ensuring collaborations bring mutual benefits and deepen connections.

Our sponsorship focus primarily includes organizations and recurring events that:

  • Projects and collaborations for social responsibility with connections to Södra's operations.
  • Engage broad community activities with a special emphasis on children and youth, where equality, diversity, gender balance, and inclusion are central—such as in sports and cultural initiatives.
  • Support projects that preserve the cultural heritage of Småland or relate closely to Södra’s local operations.
  • Raise public awareness about forestry and the forest industry.
  • Prioritize youth-focused activities that encourage diversity.
  • Are geographically located within Södra’s operational area in Götaland.

What Södra Does Not Sponsor:

To stay true to our values and principles, Södra does not sponsor:

  • Organisations or events with religious or political affiliations.
  • Groups or activities that conflict with Södra’s policies and values, or those sponsored by brands with opposing views.
  • Individual persons.

Decision-Making for Sponsorships

Local sponsorships—covering regional and community projects—are decided by our local teams. National and nationwide projects are handled centrally.

Please note: We receive many requests and cannot respond to all, but we will reach out to those that are relevant to us.
