Forest certification
Forest certification is a crucial tool for the responsible management of the members' forests. The forest owner can join Södra's group certificate. In so doing, they commit to adhering to certification requirements, which include having a green forest management plan and annual audits.
Product responsibility
Södra offers products from certified forest raw material, delivered with traceability certificates from PEFC and/or FSC®. These include certified pulp, sawn timber and biofuel. Traceability certification according to PEFC and/or FSC® indicates that the wood comes from responsibly managed forests and has a controlled origin.
Södra Cell's pulp is approved for use in paper products carrying the Nordic Swan and EU Flower labels. All pulps are also approved for use in paper/board applications that demand food contact according to German and American food standards.
