We have a strong focus on future solutions, but also an opportunity to quickly test new ideas. Our culture is one of innovation and encouragement to try new things where dialogue and collaboration are an essential part of the development process. The innovation lab plays a significant and vital role in our development work.
Simulation in a lab environment
Having an autonomous innovation lab means we can test new solutions faster and more efficiently, so increasing the pace of creating new processes or products. Since we work on confidential projects, having our own innovation lab is a great advantage. We also have the ability to test on a lab scale before taking an idea further into production; we simulate the processes at the mill in our innovation lab; an important strength in our development process. Optimising existing products and processes is another significant part of what we do throughout Södra, and we also collaborate with our customers to provide them with the support they need. The lab is a place of high competence and great curiosity.
