Biomaterials from family-owned forests

Södra offer a range of biomaterial products; Sustainable and long-term solutions from family-owned forestry that ensure we make the most of every tree.

Bark

Södra offers both dried bark and standard bark to our customers. Together, we find energy solutions rooted in family forestry. Our bark is mainly delivered to heating plants but also works very well as, for example, a covering material.

Lignin

Our new product kraft lignin can replace fossil-based materials in products such as adhesives, batteries, rubber, and composites, and also serve as a foundation for new biostimulants.

Sawdust

Sawdust from Södra is an attractive raw material for the production of fuel pellets and particle boards. Its consistent quality also makes sawdust an efficient product.

Stable pellets

Pellets from Södra work just as well for heating as they do for horse bedding. They are very easy to muck out, and if you water the pellets before placing them in the stall, they break down and form a soft, light mat.

Wood shaving bales

Södra’s bedding products are produced at our sawmills using raw material from family forestry and are of high quality. They are easy to handle, biodegradable, and provide your animals with an environment that is easy to keep clean.
