The Södra Foundation for Research, Development and Education was founded in 1995 with a mission to support research and development that is significant for forestry and forest industry operations in southern Sweden. Since then, the Foundation has granted close to SEK 300 million to nearly 250 different projects.

The Foundation's mission is to promote research and development that is important for the forest and forest-based industries in Southern Sweden.
Through grants, the Foundation has contributed to a number of advances in various areas within the bio-based economy, including new possibilities for fossil-free products.
The Foundation has so far distributed over 300 million SEK to approximately 250 projects since it was established in 1995.

Every year, we distribute grants to various projects that promote research and development deemed important for the forest. There are two opportunities every year for students and researchers in Sweden to apply.
