The Södra Foundation for Research, Development and Education is responsible for promoting important research and development in forestry and forest industry-related activities in southern Sweden.
Formed in 1995, the Foundation was allocated SEK 100 million to grant to research projects with the forest as a common denominator. Since then, it has received two additional SEK 50 million provisions and granted SEK 5-11 million annually to various projects.
The Board of the Södra Research Foundation includes Karin Emilsson, Södra, Magnus Fagerlind, Södra, Sven Thelandersson, Lund University, Mikael Staffas, Södra and Lars-Olof Rask, Växjö University.
