What is our pulp used for?

From household papers to super soft facial tissues, from coffee filters or wallpaper to exclusive car brochures or IKEA catalogues, milk cartons to perfume packaging – we use a huge  number of different paper products  every day and they vary enormously. The one thing they all have in common is pulp – in varying quantities and varying forms.

Södra Cell has developed and sorted its pulp products into different categories, destined for different types of end products. Sales are also organised into different end product groups to best meet the many different needs of our customers. Product managers keep up to date on the markets in their respective product areas and technical product managers support customers with technical assistance when they need it.

Södra Cell’s pulp deliveries in 2006 can be broken down into the following end product categories:

  • Tissue 28 per cent
  • Speciality paper 25 per cent
  • Fine paper 21 per cent
  • Magazine paper 21 per cent
  • Paperboard 5 per cent

Fine paper and magazine paper are increasingly often grouped together as printing paper.
