PulpServices Academy runs research and development projects in close cooperation with customers, always with the end goal of improving the product.
PulpServices Academy provides a link between the marketing department and R&D department. Its purpose is to collaborate technically with Södra Cell customers, providing research and development in the areas they request. Each year, 20 per cent of Södra Cell R&D’s resources are allocated to projects requested by customers.
An important thing we share with our customers is a mutual interest in improvement. Improvement is the base for us to grow together and become better equipped to meet future demands for quality, productivity and efficiency. And we see this collaboration through PulpServices Academy as an important way in which we can help improve business for our customers.
In addition to individual R&D projects, PulpServices Academy arranges a major R&D customer seminar every second year. Seminars have so far been held in Frankfurt, Germany in 2001, in Bürgenstock, Lucerne in Switzerland in 2003, in Värö, Sweden in 2005 and in Brussels in 2007.
