Our Operations

Södra is an economic association with a membership of 50,000 forest owners in southern Sweden. One of our most important roles is to purchase raw materials from members’ forests and turn them into products that give value to our customers, employees and owners. For this purpose we have built up extensive industrial operations. Production centres mainly on paper pulp, sawn timber goods, interior products, biofuel and bioenergy. Our customers vary greatly in size and can be found all over the world – from DIY superstores in Småland to papermills in Japan.
Our operations are divided into four business areas, each of which has a strong commitment to research, development and the environment.
