The Växjö District Court has, in a ruling today, dismissed all JobbXtra’s claims against Södra and ruled that Södra acted in accordance with the contracts entered by the parties in conjunction with the Gudrun storm in 2005.
“We have waited a considerable time to have the dispute settled in court. The ruling is most satisfactory but I am not the least surprised about the outcome. In its statement, the court has made it clear that we acted fully in accordance with the contracts entered into,” said Mattias Johansson, Södra’s chief legal counsel.
The Estonian staffing organisation JobbXtra had sued Södra and demanded compensation of SEK 3.9 million plus interest. In addition to the JobbXtra claims being dismissed by the court, JobbXtra is to pay Södra’s court costs.
