Gapro has acquired shares in moulding manufacturer Magne Bråten a/s in Flisa, near Kongsvinger in Norway. The company has 11 employees and produces untreated pine mouldings for the Norwegian building trade and wood industry. It had sales of SEK 23 million in 2007.
"The acquisition strengthens Gapro's position amongst Norwegian building merchants and provides synergy effects across all product areas," says Håkan Svensson, president of Gapro.
Kjetil Högbakken, president of Gapro Norge, becomes chairman and current owner Jan Ivar Körra remains in the role of president. The business will be run as a subsidiary of Gapro Norge.
Gapro is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Södra specialising in mouldings, panelling and flooring for the Scandinavian building trade and wood industry. The Gapro group had sales last year of SEK 848 million and has 360 employees. The company has 11 production plants in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
