Forestry Services with Respect to the Environment

Working with forestry services is like cycling down a stony forest path, it is an interesting balancing act. Every day, we constantly balance between the concerns of timber production and the preservation of nature. We believe that we can do this best by attempting to mimic nature's own dynamic.

Through its forestry consultancy, service and timber sales, Södra shall see to it that proper regard is paid to the environment and to nature. In order to create a living forest, we work with a number of different things.

Knowledge is the key to paying proper attention to the environment. This is why we give both our own staff as well as our contractors training in nature preservation. Our contractors must have a green driver’s permit. We also arrange training for our members and representatives.

The green forestry plan is an excellent aid in planning forestry production with regard to nature. Trained planners make nature assessments which help the forest owners to strike a balance between production and nature preservation.
