Södra’s work with environmental issues is long-term and is carried out according to established guidelines.
The basis for Södra’s environmental work is our environmental policy and nature preservation policy. Both have been ratified by the association’s managing board. Södra’s environmental work is to be characterised by the cyclical principle, according to our environmental policy.
Care for the environment shall permeate our entire enterprise and characterise our daily work. Our effect on the environment is to be regarded in its entirety and encompass all areas: management of natural resources, purchasing, production, transportation, waste disposal and much more.
The environmental work is to be regarded as a continuous process of improvement. The nature preservation policy is a clarification of the environmental policy's aim to work towards biological diversity. Through its forestry consultancy, service and timber sales, Södra shall see to it that proper regard is paid to the environment and to nature on all properties where Södra is active.
