Trainee – a unique career opportunity

By 2001, Södra already had its first trainee programme in place, and since 2003 this has become common practice throughout the whole Group. We are the only company within the forestry sector that has a Group-wide trainee programme. The programme is certified by the Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers and TraineeGuiden.se (for criteria visit www.traineeguiden.se/cert.asp) and offers you a unique opportunity to make a career at Södra. Over the course of one year, as a trainee you will receive all-round practical experience from various departments within the Group. Practical experience is mixed with other forms of training within subject fields such as Leadership, Communication, Economy and Market as well as work focusing on the division you are working for.

In autumn 2007, the fourth trainee programme will commence, this time with 12 places. Those who are accepted onto the programme are assured employment until further notice at Södra.


Aims & objectives
The aim of the trainee programme is to contribute to the skills required among young academics working for Södra and lay the foundation for the selection of future managers and specialists. The objective of the programme is to gain good knowledge about the Group’s various lines of business activity, create an understanding of the varying conditions and cultural differences, as well as for personal development.
